The FlashFrame Challenge is a fast-paced, 48-hour filmmaking competition designed exclusively for teens ages 14–18, presented by We Are All Philanthropists. Open to students across Indiana, this event invites emerging filmmakers and any team ready for a fun, creative weekend to write, shoot, edit, and complete an original short film in just two days.

The 2026 Flash Frame Teen Film Challenge kicks off on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 5:00 PM CT, and concludes on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 5:00 PM CT. All teams must upload their finished film by 8:00 PM CT on April 12 to be eligible for judging.

Contest Launch site will open on April 10 at 5:00 PM CT
Goal: Teams have 48 hours to conceptualize, shoot, edit, and submit a short film based on a theme and required elements revealed at kickoff.
Awards Ceremony Date: May 1, 2026 - 6:00 PM at WNIN Studios in Evansville
Announced at kickoff to level the playing field and prove the film was made during the challenge. Examples:

May Event: All teams will be invited to attend the screening and awards ceremony. More information will be released after all films have been submitted.
RELEASE FORMS
Each team must submit the release forms listed below with their entry form. These forms must be turned in with the finished film/video on Sunday. Films will not be screened before the FlashFrame Organizers have received the signed release forms.
Teams: 2–6 students
All work must be completed by a student(s). An adult/instructor may serve in the role of producer or executive producer overseeing the work, but all production and post-production work must be completed by students.
Must be current high school freshman - senior in the state of Indiana - open to all public, private, parochial, and home school students
Time limit for production: 48 hours
Film length: 3–10 minutes
Must include all required elements
No pre-shot footage or pre-recorded audio
Original music required. Students may not use unlicensed music in their projects.
Safe filming practices must be followed
The use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) to create any core content for an entry—including, but not limited to, scripts, video, images, music, or voiceovers—is strictly prohibited. AI may be used only for technical production support (such as audio cleanup, color correction, noise reduction, auto-captioning, image stabilization, and similar enhancements), and not for the creation of original content.
Entries that promote or glorify negative behavior—including, but not limited to, the use of alcohol, violence, or mayhem, as well as profane, indecent, or obscene language—are prohibited. Content depicting or referencing sex, nudity, or illegal drug use is also not permitted. Any violation of these guidelines will result in disqualification.
