FlashFrame 48-Hour Film Challenge – Participant Launch Details
Welcome to FlashFrame: The 48-Hour High School Film Challenge we’re so excited to have you participate in this fast-paced, creative weekend!

EVENT OVERVIEW
Dates: April 10–12, 2026
Kickoff: Friday at 5:00 PM CT
Deadline to Finish: Sunday at 5:00 PM CT
You and your team will have 48 hours to create a short film from idea to final edit.
REQUIRED ELEMENTS (READ CAREFULLY)
All teams must incorporate the following into their film:
THEME:
Kindness changes everything
PROMPT:
Your film must include a flashback
PROP:
A calendar must appear in your film (any format—wall, phone, planner, etc.)
GENRE:
Any (comedy, drama, thriller, documentary, etc.)
These elements must be clearly included, but how you use them is completely up to you.
They can be central to your story or subtly placed in the background—get creative!

🎥 FILM REQUIREMENTS
- Length: 3–10 minutes (including credits)
- Must include all required elements
- Must be created entirely during the 48-hour window
- All work must be completed by students
- Teams: 2–6 students (additional actors/helpers allowed)
Important:
- No pre-shot footage or pre-recorded audio
- Use only original or properly licensed music (must be credited)
- Include full credits (cast, crew, music, etc.)
- AI may NOT be used to generate scripts, video, audio, or other core content
📋 REQUIRED FORMS (DUE WITH SUBMISSION)
All teams must submit completed forms with their film
CONTENT GUIDELINES
Your film must be appropriate for a high school audience. Entries that include or promote:
- Violence, alcohol, or illegal behavior
- Profanity or obscene language
- Sexual content or nudity will be disqualified.
FINAL REMINDERS
- Be creative—this is your chance to tell a powerful story
- Required elements are meant to inspire, not limit you
- Plan your time wisely—48 hours goes fast!
