Camp Ondessonk Shifts Focus Amid COVD-19 Pandemic

Camp Ondessonk is excited to announce the release of a free At-Home Summer Activity Book.

In early June, Camp Ondessonk made the difficult decision to suspend all 2020 summer camp sessions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they have shifted focus in order to continue serving the community. Camp Ondessonk is excited to announce the release of a free At-Home Summer Activity Book, which includes 22 activities caregivers and campers can do outdoors, and Family Camping for Camp O, giving families a chance to camp in one of 12 units Monday afternoon through Wednesday morning or Friday afternoon through Sunday morning.

Camp Ondessonk understands these opportunities do not replace a week of summer camp but hopes they remind campers of the great Ondessonk adventures that await when they can safely return. We are committed to providing resources and opportunities for families that help get children outside.

“The Camp Ondessonk staff strives to continue serving our community, especially during the pandemic,” says Dan King, Executive Director. “Even though summer looks different this year, the staff found a way to bring a glimmer of the Camp O spirit to families.”
