Raptor Con - Evansville's Premiere Geek and Pop Culture Comic Convention.

Coming September 13 and 14

Evansville is gearing up for one of its biggest pop culture weekends of the year with the return of Raptor Con, set for September 13–14, 2025, at the Old National Events Plaza. Known as Evansville’s largest pop culture convention, Raptor Con has quickly become a regional favorite for fans of comics, anime, gaming, cosplay, and collectibles.

This year’s event promises a packed lineup of celebrity guests, interactive panels, and fan-focused activities. Attendees will have the chance to meet stars like Will Friedle from Boy Meets World and Cooper Barnes from Henry Danger, along with several others still to be announced. Guests will be available for autographs, selfies, professional photo-ops, and Q&A sessions that give fans a peek behind the curtain of their favorite shows and films.

Raptor Con also embraces the gaming community with a dedicated gaming room. Fans of tabletop games, role-playing adventures, and card games will have space to play, compete, and connect with fellow players throughout the weekend. For collectors and shoppers, the vendor hall is always a major attraction, offering everything from comic books and toys to vintage memorabilia, original art, anime merchandise, and wrestling gear.

Cosplay is another highlight of the convention. Both casual fans and serious creators can take part in cosplay contests, showcasing their skills and creativity while competing for prizes. Even if you’re not entering, walking the floor among cosplayers adds an extra layer of energy and excitement to the event.

Tickets are designed to be affordable and family-friendly. A weekend pass is $35, single-day tickets are $25, and a “Friends Pack” of four weekend passes is $120. VIP packages, some of which have already sold out, include perks like early entry, exclusive merchandise, green screen photos, and even food credits. Families with young children will be glad to know that kids 10 and under get in free with a paid adult ticket, making Raptor Con a budget-friendly outing for parents and kids alike.

The event has seen steady growth since its early years, and moving to the Old National Events Plaza has improved accessibility and space for attendees. While past conventions drew mixed reviews from some community members about organization and venue limitations, organizers have clearly taken feedback to heart, focusing on creating a smoother and more enjoyable fan experience.

At its core, Raptor Con is more than just a convention—it’s a celebration of fandom and creativity. Whether you’re there to meet a childhood TV hero, browse through rare collectibles, join a cosplay contest, or just soak up the atmosphere, Evansville’s Raptor Con offers something for everyone. With its diverse lineup and family-friendly approach, the 2025 event promises to be the biggest and most exciting one yet.
