1. Kanye West
Kanye West has been creating music since 2004. While he is a very controversial person, his music will never disappoint me. Kanye has created 10 studio albums over his time. His most popular album is Graduation, which sold over 6,060,563 copies. His most famous song, “Flashing Lights”, came off of this album. Released in 2007, this hit blew up. Kanye currently has 52.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify. 


2. J. Cole
In 2010, Jermaine Lamarr Cole released “Who Dat”. This hit the Top 100 charts at No. 93. Cole was only 15 when this song was released. Now 38 years old, he has 6 studio albums. His most popular, “2014 Forest Hills Drive”, was released in 2014. Coming off of this album, “No Role Modelz” is his No. 1 song. J. Cole currently has 35.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. 


3.  Nirvana
This famous band was put together by Kurt Cobain, the lead singer, and Krist Novoselic, the bassist, in 1987. In 2002, Nirvana released their greatest hits album, Nirvana. However, their most famous song, “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, came off of their most famous album Nevermind. Nirvana ended in 1994 after Kurt Cobain’s death.  While this band is no longer producing music, they still have 13.3 monthly Spotify listeners. 


4.  Drake 
In 2010, Drake released the single “Over”. This was his big start. This peaked at No. 14 on the billboard top 100. This song also was nominated for Best Rap Solo at the 53rd Grammy Awards. Now his most popular album is Take Care, released in 2011. However his most famous song, “One Dance” came off of the album Views. This song reached 15 countries. Drake currently has 72.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify. 


5. Kid Cudi
Kid Cudi released Man on the Moon: The End of Day in 2009. This sold 104,419 copies in the first week and charted at No. 4 on the top 100 lists. This is still his most famous album. Also, His most popular song “Day N’ Nite” came off of Man on the Moon: The End of Day. Kid Cudi currently has 23.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify. 

6. Kendrick Lamar
In 2004, Kendrick released some mixtapes with another artist. In 2005, he signed to his label. He signed to Top Dawg Entertainment and released a couple of singles from his 2011 album Section .80. His first single was “The Recipe”.  He later dropped “To Pimp and Butterfly” and “DAMN”. Released in 2017, his most played song, Humble, comes off of the album “DAMN”. Kendrick Lamar currently has 44.5 Million monthly listeners on Spotify. 


7. Jay-Z
In 1996, Jay-Z dropped Reasonable Doubt to kick off his career. “The Blueprint” was released in 2001, and contains his most popular song “Heart of the City”, which was produced by Kanye. Overall, Jay-Z has dropped 13 studio albums. Jay-Z currently has 8.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify. 


8. Zach Bryan
Zach Bryan started to upload his country music on Youtube in 2017. “Heading South” eventually went viral and led to him dropping the album “DeAnn”.  His most famous song, “Something In The Orange”, is from his most famous album, “American Heartbreak”.  “Something In The Orange” topped at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country chart for 2023. With his quick rise to fame, he currently has 13.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify. 

9. Tyler Childers
At the young age of 13, Tyler Childers started to make some great hits. However, his first album, “Purgatory”, wasn’t until 2017. This is still his most popular album, also with his most famous song “Lady May”. Tyler has since collected about 7.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. 


10. 21 Savage 
After his friend’s death in a shootout, 21 Savage started rapping. In 2014, his single “Picky” debuted. Since then, 21 Savage has produced a lot of hits, including a lot of collaborations with Drake. “Mr. Right Now” is 21 Savage’s most famous song, but is written by both him and Drake. 21 is more known for featuring in songs, than for creating his albums. However, 21 Savage has racked up 58.8 monthly listeners on Spotify.
