If there's one thing I’m good at, it’s watching movies and TV Shows. As an enthusiast, I’m going to allow myself to validate my own opinions of said shows and movies.
As everyone knows, Netflix is extremely well known for the shows and movies they create, or in other words, Netflix Originals. I’ll never forget watching their popular series, “I Am Not Okay With This”, during Covid in 2020. It was a hit! It was rated 86% on Rotten Tomatoes and 7.5 on IMDB. So if you haven’t watched the show, you probably don’t see where I’m going with this. Netflix, to no surprise based on their reputation, canceled it! After one short, but amazing, season, they canceled it to make room for a “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before 2”. Readers, don’t get me wrong, I loved the first one, I really did, the storyline was amazing and so entertaining but, did we really need a second one? I honestly feel this way about so many other shows. Do you guys remember “Anne with an E”? I do! “Anne with an E” was one of the best shows Netflix ever put out, in my opinion. We were able to get 3 amazing seasons out of it, SPOILER ALERT! Anne finally gets with Gilbert at the end of season 3 too! It took all of three seasons for the two leads to FINALLY get together and that’s it? All of that and for what? Just to cancel it to make room for the 3rd “The Kissing Booth” movie? NEWS FLASH Netflix! We didn’t want the first two! Okay, maybe we wanted the first one…but definitely not the second one! Just for reference, “Anne with an E” scored 8.6/10 on IMDB and 63% on Rotten tomatoes while, “The Kissing Booth 3” scored 4.8/10 on IMDB and 26% on Rotten tomatoes. Do you feel silly Netflix? Listen to your fans please!
Netflix if you’re reading this, don’t assume that I hate all the movies or shows you put out, I have so many favorites! All I’m asking is, please read fan reviews before deciding to cancel one of the best shows you have!
