The YMCA of Southwestern Indiana is hosting the Y’s annual Healthy Kids Day® on Sunday, April 28th from 1-3PM at the Dunigan Family YMCA on Evansville’s eastside. This free, annual event features a variety of family-friendly activities for children ages 3-14 to encourage healthy kids, healthy families and a healthy start to the summer season.

Healthy Kids Day’s mission is to turn fun and play into lifelong memories. Some featured activities include youth exercise classes like Kids Yoga and Kids Power Circuit as well as Ninjanastics, Archery, Water Safety, and Healthy Eating. “It’s important for kids to stay active over the summer, both physically and mentally,” said Nathalie Moreno, YMCA Wellness Coordinator. “We want to provide resources for families to create healthy habits. Healthy Kids Day is a fun, free community event that encourages families to take advantage of all the great summer activities the Y has to offer.”

Registration for the event starts at 12:45PM and is free and open to the community. YMCA membership is not required.  For more information and event schedule, the public can visit ymcaswin.org
