YMCA Launches New Classes at Annual Community Exercise Event

Registration for the event starts at 7:45AM and is free and open to the community.

The YMCA will host its annual Fit4All community event from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 6th at the Dunigan Family YMCA on the eastside of Evansville.

The annual event is a fitness free-for-all featuring seventeen different group exercise classes for adults. Classes are 30-minutes to encourage participants to sample multiple classes so they can try something new in the new year. As part of the event, the Y will be debuting three new fitness classes: SoulBody Unhitched, Les Mills Dance, and Guided Meditation.

SoulBody Unhitched is a class that combines pilates, barre, and core movement patterns using light equipment to challenge balance and core stability.

Les Mills Dance is a class featuring innovative dance movements set to music inspired from a wide variety of dance genres.

Guided Meditation is a fitness class that connects breath with mindfulness in order to reach complete relaxation and release physical, mental, and emotional tension.

Other group exercise classes at the Fit4All community event include Athletic Stretch, BodyAttack™, BodyCombat™, BodyPump™, BodyStep™, Core, GRIT™, Kids Power Circuit (for ages 6 and up), RPM™, TRX®, Zumba, and three different styles of Yoga.

Registration for the event starts at 7:45AM and is free and open to the community.  For more information and event schedule, the public can visit ymcaswin.org.
