May is Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month in Indiana

Governor Eric Holcomb has proclaimed May to be Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month in Indiana. Spring weather means that motorcyclists will be on the streets in greater numbers. ABATE of Indiana joins Governor Holcomb and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in urging everyone to share the road. #MotorcyclesAreEverywhere

NOT Rally on the Circle, Wednesday, May 6th

Every year ABATE of Indiana hosts a rally on Monument Circle to draw further attention to Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month. We thank our traditional partners, Indiana War Memorial, Marion County Traffic Safety Partnership, Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, Indiana State Police, Motorcycle Dealer Association of Indiana, and Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

Historically, motorcyclists and police motors from across the state have been invited to gather on the Circle to raise awareness. With the restrictions due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, this year is a bit different. While there will not be an event in 2020, we all hope to get back to pre- coronavirus status soon. When that happens, there will be more motorcycles on the road, and we want you to “Save a Life - Be Aware, Motorcycles Are Everywhere”.
