Gardeners, nature enthusiasts, and lifelong learners are invited to the 2026 Garden Symposium: Blooms, Bugs & Bounty on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Seton Manor at Ascension St. Vincent, 3700 Washington Ave., Evansville.
Presented by the Southwestern Indiana Master Gardener Association (SWIMGA), the day-long symposium will feature nationally recognized speakers, practical gardening education, and opportunities to connect with fellow gardeners from across the region.
Featured speakers include:

Michael Homoya, former Indiana Department of Natural Resources botanist, plant ecologist, and author, who will present on Indiana's native wildflowers, ferns, and orchids.

Jayde Grisham, Purdue Extension Urban Agriculture Educator for Marion County, who will share practical techniques for extending the growing season and successful seed starting.

Kevin Wiener, founder of All Bugs Go to Kevin, whose engaging presentations encourage a greater appreciation for insects and their essential role in healthy ecosystems.
Attendees will enjoy six educational presentations, a vendor marketplace, book sales and author signing, a silent auction, a light breakfast, and a boxed lunch.
The symposium is open to gardeners of all experience levels, from beginners looking to grow their first garden to seasoned Master Gardeners seeking new ideas and inspiration.
