The Evansville Police Foundation, in partnership with Deaconess Health System, assembled 200 trauma kits for the Evansville Police Department on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center.
The project is made possible through a $25,000 grant from Deaconess Health System to the Evansville Police Foundation. The 200 kits will provide one trauma kit for every EPD squad car, giving officers immediate access to critical medical supplies when responding to emergencies.
Each kit costs approximately $120 and includes a tourniquet, chest seal, oral airway, trauma shears, and OLAES modular bandage. The kits will be placed in EPD squad cars, giving officers quick access to medical equipment at emergency scenes until additional medical care is available.
