Evansville Bar Association’s Camp Legal Eagle Reaches Full Enrollment for 2026

The Evansville Bar Association (EBA) is proud to host the inaugural year of Camp Legal Eagle, a new summer program designed to introduce students to the legal profession and the justice system through hands-on learning and mentorship.

Taking place July 20–22, 2026, Camp Legal Eagle is open to students entering the 7th, 8th, and 9th grades and will provide participants with an engaging, behind-the-scenes look at the legal system and the important role it plays in the community.

Throughout the three-day program, campers will participate in interactive activities, courtroom experiences, and discussions led by local attorneys, judges, and legal professionals. Students will explore a variety of legal careers while developing skills in communication, critical thinking, professionalism, and civic engagement.

“Camp Legal Eagle is an exciting opportunity for students to learn directly from members of the legal community and gain exposure to careers they may never have considered,” said EBA President Meagan Brien. “We are thrilled by the enthusiasm surrounding the inaugural camp and excited to welcome our first class of campers this summer.”

The EBA hopes Camp Legal Eagle will become a longstanding summer tradition and continue to grow as a meaningful educational opportunity for students throughout the Evansville area and surrounding communities.

The EBA extends its appreciation to the attorneys, judges, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners whose support has made the inaugural camp possible.

Camp Legal Eagle’s 2026 cohort is currently full with more than 25 students having been accepted, reflecting strong community interest in the new program.
