Your key light is your main source, and it should be placed slightly off to one side of your subject. Not directly in front of them, but not fully to the side either. That slight angle is what creates dimension and makes the shot feel cinematic instead of flat. If you only have one light, this is the one. A single key light alone can look surprisingly good if it's placed right.<\/p>\n\n Camera placement matters just as much<\/u><\/p>\n <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n Once your key is set, I put my A camera straight in front of the subject, and then my B camera goes on the opposite side from the key light. That angle from the B cam naturally catches more shadow and dimension, which gives you a totally different look to cut between. Also, position your camera as far back as possible. The farther back you are, the better your focal length and aperture can work together to compress the background and get that shallow depth of field that makes everything look high-end.<\/p>\n\n Add light to your background<\/u><\/p>\n <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n A backlit backdrop makes a massive difference. Even a cheap light pointed at the wall behind your subject adds depth and separates them from the background. I also like throwing some RGB lights behind the subject to add a color element. Even a subtle color cast back there can take an interview from looking like a YouTube video to looking like a Netflix doc.<\/p>\n\n The hair light<\/u><\/p>\n <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n If you want to take it a step further, add a hair light. This one goes on the opposite side from your B camera, positioned slightly above and behind your subject. It creates a rim of light on their hair and shoulders that separates them from the background and adds a really clean cinematic feel. It's one of those details that people might not notice consciously, but they'll feel it. Make the whole thing cinematic, not just the light.<\/p>\n\n The background you choose matters. Think about what's in frame. A boring white wall is going to look boring regardless of how good your lighting is. Put something interesting back there, or at least add some depth with distance and light. And ask cinematic questions. The way someone responds changes completely when you're asking them something that actually draws something out of them instead of a surface-level answer. The whole frame, the light, the location, and the conversation all work together. You don't need a big budget. While there hasn’t been confirmation on who’s voicing Metal Sonic, it’s likely he’ll remain mute for the duration of the film unless Neo Metal Sonic enters the equation.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n The teaser shows Amy’s iconic hammer shattering into a stream of blue energy, revealing the Chaos Emeralds and hinting at their possible inclusion as separate entities from the Master Emerald after they scattered at the end of <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Sonic 3<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>. Well, I have two possible answers. With the teaser’s phrasing “Your world is in danger” we could be seeing a version of Robotnik from a bad future that he rules, similar to the game <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Sonic CD<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>. In that story, Sonic travels through time to undo Robotnik’s dystopian future. This isn’t far-fetched either, considering leaked concept art from the third movie hinted at this exact scenario.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n Alternatively, it’s possible this is Neo Metal Sonic impersonating Robotnik, as he does in <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Sonic Heroes<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>. I’m personally leaning toward the bad future route, but I’d love to see it be Neo Metal.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n Overall, I’m incredibly excited to see what this movie brings to the table. The budget and stakes just keep getting bigger and bigger. When nothing is immediately gripping at your attention, your mind starts to wonder. You think about things you normally wouldn’t. Random thoughts and ideas connect. Small thoughts turn into bigger ones. That’s when the creativity starts to build. <\/p>\n\n Think about it, how often do you get your best ideas out when you’re doom scrolling through your phone? Probably not that often, but when you’re just sitting there, staring out the window or laying in your room with nothing to do, that’s when your mind starts creating instead of consuming. <\/p>\n\n Boredom forces you to sit in your own thoughts, and while that can feel strange at first, it’s actually important. It gives you a chance to reflect, to process things, and figure out what is actually going on in your mind beneath all the noise. It’s also where a lot of passions begin. When you’re bored, you start looking for something to do. Maybe you can pick up a guitar (that’s what I do). Maybe you start writing something random. Maybe try filming something on your phone just to pass the time. At first, it’s just a way to escape boredom, but over time, it grows into something much more. Something you actually care about and fall in love with.<\/p>\n\n A lot of creative people didn’t start because they were told to, they started because they had nothing else to do. That’s something we don’t talk about enough. We’re always told to stay busy, stay productive, keep moving, but constantly filling every moment doesn’t leave lots of room for originality. If your brain is always focused on what is in front of you, it never gets the chance to explore what could be.<\/p>\n\n Boredom doesn’t always feel good. Sometimes it’s uncomfortable. Sometimes it makes time feel slower, but that’s kind of the point. It slows everything down just enough for you to notice things you would typically ignore. In a way, boredom gives you control back. Instead of reacting to whatever is thrown at you, notifications, videos, endless content, you get to decide what to do next without all the noise of today’s world. You get to create instead of consume and that is such an important thing everyone needs to understand.<\/p>\n\n So next time you feel bored, don’t immediately try to escape it. Sit with it for a minute. Let your mind wander a little and see where it takes you. You might be surprised what you come up with. I have been flying drones for about three years now, and recently I just picked up my first FPV drone. Going from a camera drone to an FPV is a pretty big shift, and it got me thinking about how different these two types really are. If you have ever been curious about the difference, here is what you need to know.<\/p>\n\n <\/p>\n\n Camera Drones:<\/u><\/p>\n\n A camera drone, such as my DJI Mini 3, is designed for smooth, high-quality footage. These drones are stable, easy to fly, and equipped with smart features such as obstacle avoidance, GPS hold, and automated shot modes. The camera stays level with the horizon, which makes it incredibly beginner-friendly. For price, a solid starter option like the Mini 3 runs around $500 to $700, depending on the package, and you get great 4K video out of the box.<\/p>\n\n <\/p>\n\n FPV Drones:<\/u><\/p>\n\n FPV stands for First Person View. Instead of watching your drone from the ground, you wear goggles that put you directly in the perspective of the drone. It feels less like operating a device and more like actually flying. The DJI Avata 2, which I recently picked up, is a great beginner-friendly FPV option that still shoots excellent footage. FPV drones are built for speed and agility, capable of hitting 60 to 100 mph and flying through tight spaces in ways a camera drone simply cannot. The footage is clean and color-accurate straight out of the drone. FPV footage has a totally different feel, fast, immersive, and cinematic in an action-forward way. FPV drones film aggressive banking turns and low-altitude flythroughs that look almost like a movie scene. Both produce great quality video, just with a very different style.<\/p>\n\n <\/p>\n\n Which One Is Right for You?<\/u><\/p>\n\n If you are just starting out, go with a camera drone without a doubt. They are more forgiving, easier to learn on, and great for building real flying skills. Once you are comfortable, FPV is an incredibly rewarding next step. I recommend starting in a flight simulator to get the hang of the difference. Neither is better than the other. But on quieter nights, when everything feels more sad, I turn to artists like Conan Gray or Selena Gomez .Sometimes when I feel as though I can’t explain my feelings there is a song out there that can. That is the beauty of music. The undoubtable fact that there is at least one or more songs that resonate with most people if not all is what makes music seem so natural and humane. One song that resonates with me is “Just the Way You Are” by Bruno Mars.I resonate with that song because it talks about self-reassurance and acceptance towards someone because they are naturally beautiful. It explains how one doesn't have to change themself because they are naturally beautiful and unique to one’s authentic self! Some people use music as a type of help when they feel they can’t tell others how they are feeling. Now looking back I can see how my music taste has changed as I’ve grown. There were phases in my life where I only listened to certain genres and didn’t easily branch out, now I find myself exploring different sounds and artists just to get all the exposure I can in the music industry. Some songs feel like time capsules reminders of who I used to be. Others feel like soundtracks to who I’m becoming. Music isn’t just entertainment. It’s part of my identity. The biggest realization is that music isn’t background noise. It’s emotional direction. It can make me more productive, more confident, or more observant. I loved my junior prom dress too but it was quite the hassle. The dress was a big silky ball gown. We even added three hooks on the back to help hold up my dress and that still was not enough. Looking back the dress was really pretty but it was also a lot. This year I am extremely excited about my selected dress. I had a blast spending time with my mom when we went dress shopping! Prom dresses can be expensive though. If cost becomes a worry the best places to look are at thrift stores, online, and even at local high schools. A lot of the local high schools in Evansville will spend time on a Saturday selling prom dresses! The entire event is always so much fun and they always have great selections!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n Another fun part about prom is the people you go with! I have always attended dances with my friends and I would not trade it for anything! My favorite part is getting ready together beforehand. Friends can bring so much fun to a dance, even when you don’t have a date!
